Hi, everybody



I'm a beginner LEAP user. While studing LEAP and fulfilling LEAP Exercises I faced some problems.



1. I have access Internet via network. So, I used General/ Basic Parameters/ Updates to enter Internet from LEAP. But this feature is not working though I tried a lot of options for specifing my network settings. Thus neither "Check for update" nor Area/Open/Download from Internet are available for me.



2. Today studing Summary View I faced such a problem. Whatever options I clicked there appeared a Error in LEAP window and it is asked "Send Report" or "Don't send" (of course, I compeled to choose second one because mentioned 1st problem).



Did anybody have such problems earlier? If yes, how did you solve them?

If someone has any good ideas about my problems, please, share them.

This problem is due to your Internet connection being via a "proxy server". As you mention, there are a set of options in LEAP for using a proxy server but so far this feature does not seem to be working properly. I am having a hard time testing this because we dont (yet) use a proxy server at SEI-Boston. However, I am working to set up one so I hope to address this in the near future. In the meantime your best options are to either (a) do a full download of new versions, or (b) find Internet access that does not go through a proxy server. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Can you send me more information on what the error message was and what you clicked immediately before the error appeared. As a general rule, for helping me to debug problems, please post as specific information as possible. Also, always include the version number of LEAP you are using. The current version is 2004.006.
