Hi All,

I'm happy to announce that we have new and updated translations of the LEAP2011 Training Materials available on the COMMEND website. We have had generous volunteers translating LEAP training materials into Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese and Chinese.

These translations allow us to broaden the usefulness of LEAP around the world. As you may know, we also have translations of the LEAP software and COMMEND website. We may ask for your help in the coming months to help us with those translations as well. For now, we hope that some of you can volunteer your time to help us further extend our language support by creating translations of our general purpose training materials.

Training Materials Now Available:

- English
- Chinese (courtesy of Yang Yang)
- Spanish (courtesy of Nicolas Di Sbroiavacca)

These can be found on our Training Materials page (go to LEAP: Training Materials on the main menu of COMMEND).

Coming Soon:

- French (courtesy of Souleymane Diallo)
- Italian (courtesy of Michela Bevione and Rocco Di Miglio)
- Portuguese (courtesy of Alex Koberle)

Other Languages which we would like to have translations for:

- Thai
- Arabic
- Hindi
- Farsi
- Russian
- Indonesian
- Vietnamese
- Others

If you are interested in helping, please respond to this discussion on COMMEND or email leap@sei-us.org to let us know what language you can contribute. All volunteers will receive credit on our website for your efforts in addition to our sincere gratitude. We rely on volunteers to help us with these kinds of translations and very much appreciate the help of the COMMEND community.

Many thanks,

Tory Clark

Hi Tory Clark

Greetings!

I am Beni Suryadi from the ASEAN Centre for Energy (ACE)

I am pleased to inform you that I am interested to voluntary translate the LEAP2011 Training Materials into Indonesian.
My precursor from ACE, Mr. Ahmad Nidlom had worked with Mr. Charlie Heaps in 2008 for the Manual Translation also.

We are using LEAP for several projects, and one of them, the latest work (in cooperation with experts from 10 ASEAN Member States and the Institute of Energy Economic, Japan) is on the development of the 3rd ASEAN Energy Outlook that we published last February (http://talkenergy.wordpress.com/t3aeo/)

Look forward to hear more from you.

Thank you very much and have a great day ahead.

Warmest Regards,
--
